State Flags
The Missouri State flag was actually designed and created in Cape Girardeau, MO by Mary Oliver. The flag was made the official flag of the state on March 22, 1913. The flag is a tricolor consisting of three horizontal stripes of red, white and blue. These represent valor, purity, vigilance, and justice.
The Arkansas flag was created by Willie Hocker of Wabbaseka in a 1912 contest. The Arkansas flag is a red field with a blue shape diamond in the middle with stars. The number of stars that are in the diamond shape represent that Arkansas was the 25th state to join.
The Kansas flag was designed Hazel Avery in 1925. The official flag of Kansas is embodied by a darkblue rectangle arranged horizontally with the state seal ranged in the center. Directly above the seal is a sun flower which sits over a bar of gold and light blue. Underneath the seal is printed the name of the state "KANSAS"
The Iowa flag was created by Dixie Gebhardt in 1917. Like the Missouri Flag, it has the the three colors red, white and blue in it. The eagle is in the middle holding a long ribbon with the word IOWA directly below it.
